The role

Our roastery team is seeking a Senior Coffee Roaster to lead roast profiling, quality assurance, and daily roastery operations.

You will:

- Develop, refine, and log roast profiles across various organic origins and processing methods to unlock peak flavor expression.

- Lead daily Quality Control (QC) processes, including production cuppings,



color analysis (Agtron), moisture/density testing, and batch consistency tracking using profiling software (e.g., Cropster).

- Manage production workflow and scheduling, collaborating closely with the dispatch and operations teams to meet volume demands and time-critical deadlines.

- Assist in green coffee evaluation, sample roasting, and raw inventory management.

- Oversee roastery equipment calibration, cleaning protocols, and routine roaster maintenance.

- Train, mentor, and support junior team members, fostering a culture of accuracy, safety, and workspace tidiness.

Requirements & Experience

- Proven experience (2+ years) in commercial specialty coffee roasting with demonstrated expertise in profile development.

- Strong sensory and cupping palate with experience running structured quality control routines.

- Proficiency in roast tracking software and a deep understanding of roast physics and thermodynamics.

- Methodical problem-solver with strong troubleshooting and machinery maintenance skills.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management skills with the ability to work autonomously and guide others.
