We are looking for a Software Engineer that will contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of the StacksOn product (https://stackson.com/), including the responsible use of GitHub AI-assisted development tools for code generation and related engineering activities. Working within established architecture and engineering practices, the role delivers reliable software features, resolves technical issues and collaborates with senior engineers, the Product Manager and other stakeholders.

Within this role, you will:

- Develop and maintain software components and features in accordance with agreed designs, coding standards and architectural guidance.
- Write clean, efficient and well-documented code, with appropriate unit and integration tests.
- Diagnose and resolve defects and technical issues, escalating complex or high-risk matters to a senior engineer.
- Participate constructively in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality, security and maintainability.




- Use GitHub and approved GitHub AI tools to support code generation, refactoring, testing and documentation, while reviewing, validating and taking responsibility for all generated outputs.
- Use version control, build and deployment processes correctly, and contribute to reliable releases.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to reducing technical debt through planned improvement work.

We are Agile

This allows us to be light on our feet and progressive as we don’t get bogged down in bureaucracy. We get that the 9-5 isn’t for everyone, and we’re open to hear what works for you.

You will ideally have at least 2 + years of experience with a background in mining, bulk materials handling, operational technology or digital twin solutions with a proven capability to deliver quality outcomes to project timelines, with the following attributes:

- Degree qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Approximately two years’ professional software development experience.
- Practical experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, version control and modern software development practices.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests and participating in code reviews.
- Familiarity with 3D visualisation technologies such as Unity is desirable.
- Sound foundation in object-oriented programming, debugging, software design, secure coding principles and the effective use of AI-assisted software development tools.
- Ability to deliver well-defined tasks independently and contribute to more complex work with guidance.
- Good communication, teamwork,



time management and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to testing, documentation and change control.
