Civil safety coordinator required- Ballarat- $80k- $140k+super+vehicle

Are you a passionate Civil Safety Coordinator looking to join a highly regarded civil contractor with a strong pipeline of work across regional West Victoria?
Our client is a well-established family civil construction business with more than 50 years of industry experience, delivering projects across general civils, pipelines, water, land development, rail civil packages. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator to support project teams and drive a positive safety culture across multiple sites.

Must be based commutable to Ballarat and surrounding areas.
You may have a couple of years construction experience, formal qualifications and looking to step up in opportunity.

Your new role

Working closely with operational leaders and site teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with company and legislative requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on site, building relationships with crews and influencing positive safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems
- Investigate incidents and near misses and provide recommendations
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training sessions




- Assist with SWMS, JSEAs and project-specific safety documentation
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, policies and procedures
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors and subcontractors
- Promote a strong, proactive safety culture across all projects

What you'll need to succeed

- 2 years+ experience
- Previous experience in a Safety Coordinator, HSEQ Coordinator or Safety Advisor role- construction / civil understanding
- Exposure to earthworks, roadworks, utilities, subdivisions or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to travel between project sites when required
- based around Ballarat
