About the role

Directly reporting a supportive Nurse Unit Manager, this role is responsible for leading a team while managing the operations of the Orthopaedics unit.

Supported by a cohesive and dedicated team of ANUMS, Registered Nurses, Theatre Technicians and Administrative staff, a significant part of the ANUM role is to effectively lead their team, ensuring staff are equipped to perform their roles to the highest standards within a safe and collaborative environment.

The ANUM will support the NUM - Orthopaedics maintain and implement quality systems in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and will have a commitment to continuous improvement, risk minimisation and successful delivery of outcomes.





The ANUM will ensure there is an effective workforce available to support the hospital's strategy, along with identifying and supervising issues of clinical risk ensuring high quality, safe, patient centred care. The ANUM provides guidance and development of the staff within the Unit and holds responsibility to develop and manage the unit within the allocated budgets and organisational improvement plan objectives.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Current registration with AHPRA with a Bachelor of Nursing.

- Post graduate qualification or relevant experience in Orthopaedic Nursing.

- Experienced ANUM or senior RN - Orthopaedic ready to take the next step in their career.

- Highly developed interpersonal and team management/supervisory experience.

- Demonstrated success in delivering a patient centred service in a complex hospital environment
