About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team at our Bayswater, VIC location. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging cabinet-making projects. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality bespoke cabinetry solutions for a variety of clients. You will in our workshop, utilising your technical expertise and craftsmanship to produce exceptional results that meet exacting client specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

- Construct custom cabinet solutions based on client requirements, site measurements, and technical drawings

- Operate and maintain a range of workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials

- Construct and assemble cabinetry components with precision, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality

- Finish and treat timber surfaces, including sanding, staining, and applying protective coatings

- Occasionally, Install completed cabinetry on-site, ensuring proper fitting, alignment,



and secure attachment

- Inspect completed work to verify quality and compliance with specifications before delivery

- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and timelines are maintained

- Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation, and adhere to health and safety protocols at all times

- Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices in cabinet making techniques and materials

What we're looking for

- Formal qualification in carpentry or cabinet making (Certificate III/IV in Carpentry and Cabinet Making or equivalent)

- Proven experience working as a Cabinet Maker, ideally within shopfitting or bespoke cabinetry environments

- Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery such as table saws, panel saws, sanders, and joinery equipment

- Strong knowledge of timber types, finishes, and joinery techniques, including traditional and contemporary methods

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs accurately

- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to precision and quality craftsmanship

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to project-specific challenges





- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively and take direction

- Current knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and a commitment to safe working practices

- Physical capability to lift and carry materials, work at heights, and perform repetitive tasks

- Preferred: Experience with CAD software, CNC machinery, or experience in the shopfitting industry
