The Opportunity

A growing, up-to-date corporate law firm is expanding its Melbourne M&A; practice and looking for an Associate with 3-5 years' PQE to join its corporate and transactions team.

This is not a role where you'll be buried in the background of deals. You'll have the opportunity to run transactions end-to-end, work directly with founders, boards and investors, and take real ownership of your matters and client relationships.

The team is building something different, combining high-quality transactional work with a genuinely modern approach to technology, client service and how lawyers work.

What You'll Be Doing

- Advising on a broad range of M&A; and corporate transactions
- Running matters from start to finish with strong senior support
- Working directly with founders, boards, investors and sophisticated clients
- Taking ownership of client relationships and your matters
- Working alongside an entrepreneurial, commercially focused team
- Using technology and AI to reduce process-heavy work and focus on the legal work that matters

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be a 3-5 year PQE corporate/M&A; lawyer with solid transactional experience and a genuine interest in doing quality work in a different kind of environment.

You enjoy autonomy, client contact and being trusted to get on with things. Just as importantly, you're commercially minded, curious and keen to be part of a growing team rather than simply another lawyer in a large hierarchy.
