About the Role

EMG Capability Partner is seeking a Community Project Coordinator to support participants, community organisations and stakeholders to deliver meaningful projects, training activities and employment pathway initiatives under the Remote Australia Employment Service. Based in Doomadgee, this role works in partnership with Elders, Traditional Owners, employers, service providers and community stakeholders to coordinate culturally appropriate projects that build community capacity, strengthen engagement and create positive employment, social and economic outcomes. The role might also be offered on a Fly-in/Fly-out basis for a right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate community projects, activities, training programs and workshops that support participant development, community engagement and employment pathways.
- Develop project plans, activity schedules and delivery timelines, while monitoring progress, risks and barriers to successful delivery.
- Build and maintain respectful relationships with community leaders, Elders, Traditional Owners, participants, local organisations, training providers, government agencies and service providers.
- Facilitate community consultation, feedback processes and partnership opportunities that improve participant and community outcomes.
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with cultural protocols, organisational policies, confidentiality requirements and workplace health and safety obligations.

What you'll Need to Succeed

Essential criteria

- Sound knowledge of Indigenous culture and protocols, with demonstrated ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination,



community development, employment services, stakeholder engagement or workforce development.
- Experience working within remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple activities and implement practical strategies to support participant engagement and project outcomes.
- Demonstrated technology literacy, including proficiency in Windows-based software, internet applications and case management systems.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Relevant Working with Children clearance and Police Check, or the ability to obtain them.
- Commitment to culturally protected, respectful and strengths-based engagement practices when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote and isolated communities for short or extended periods.

Desirable criteria

- Experience delivering projects within government-funded programs.
- Knowledge of the Remote Australia Employment Service program or similar employment and community development initiatives.
- Experience in project reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
