About the role:

Ready to move beyond traditional software testing? In this role, you'll work directly with embedded systems, sensors and control hardware, tackling real-world engineering challenges and seeing the impact of your work firsthand. You'll have the autonomy to improve testing approaches, contribute to technical decisions, mentor junior engineers and play a key role in delivering innovative technology used by customers around the world.

To succeed in this role, you will bring a degree in Electronic, Mechatronic or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience), experience in software testing and test automation, knowledge of communication protocols, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent time management skills.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Review software requirements to ensure test coverage
- Design tests for software being implemented by development team
- Employ test automation methods
- Plan and develop test automation offerings to achieve robust solutions




- Be involved in manual software testing when required
- Work within the software test team to ensure consistent test methods, approaches and tools are used across RCT products as far as possible
- Contribute to the review of RCT quality processes in the software test area when required
- Report on progress to stakeholders and Test Team Manager
- Assist Test Team Manager with coordination of work within the test team

To be considered for this role you will require the following:

- BSc / BEng Electronic / Mechatronic /Software or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of software testing experience
- At least 2 years of developing a testing framework for automation of tests
- Experience of creating data sets and streams to simulate inputs to tests
- Enjoy collaborating with others and building positive working relationships within the team
- Excellent time management skills
