Our client, a very large Federal Government Department focused on security, research and development is seeking an experienced Systems Programming Specialist.

Duties of the Systems Programming Specialist

- Utilise modern DevSecOps methodologies to continuously improve the capability;
- Develop automation tools, configuration templates and associated documentation;
- Develop and maintain testing and deployment pipelines;
- Work closely with the Supercomputing Infrastructure team to develop effective and secure system administration tooling;
- Ensure solutions remain within project security boundaries and support all relevant standard operating procedures and security instructions.

Skills and Experience Required

- Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems, systems programming and automation in complex technical environments;
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, configuration management and infrastructure automation;
- Experience supporting high-performance computing,



supercomputing or other large-scale multi-user systems;
- Strong understanding of cyber security, system security and Australian Government information management requirements.
