This is a casual position (30-40 hours per week) with shifts available Monday–Saturday, offering flexibility to suit the right applicant. You will be involved in a broad range of veterinary nursing duties across small and large animal patients.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians with consultations and procedures
- Surgical and dental nursing and anaesthetic monitoring
- Patient hospital care
- Animal handling and restraint
- Pathology and laboratory work
- Radiography
- Medication preparation and administration
- Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment
- Client communication and education
- General day-to-day veterinary nursing duties
About you
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
- Genuine passion for animal care and welfare
- Confident handling animals for veterinary treatment
- Can communicate well with staff and clients
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Can manage time and prioritise tasks well
- Works well as part of a close-knit team
- Positive and qualified attitude
- Compassionate towards both patients and their owners
- Willing to get involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing and day to day clinic tasks
