About the role

We are seeking an experienced Agronomist & Quality Manager to join our team in Mundoona, Victoria on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role that combines technical agronomic expertise with quality management responsibilities, positioned to have a significant impact on both the productivity and compliance standards of our operations. The Agronomist & Quality Manager will serve as a key bridge between our farming operations and quality assurance protocols, ensuring that best practices are implemented across all stages of production. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic agricultural environment where your expertise will directly influence the success of our farming initiatives.

Key responsibilities

- Developing and implementing agronomic strategies to optimise crop yield, soil health, and sustainable farming practices across our operations

- Conducting regular field assessments and monitoring of crop health, pest management, and nutritional requirements

- Providing expert advice and recommendations to farming staff on best practices, input selection, and timing of agricultural operations

- Establishing and maintaining quality control protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

- Conducting quality inspections and audits of crops, produce, and operational processes to identify areas for improvement

- Developing and delivering training programmes to staff on agronomic principles,



quality standards, and safe farming practices

- Maintaining detailed records of agronomic interventions, quality assessments, and production outcomes

- Liaising with suppliers, research institutions, and industry bodies to stay current with emerging agricultural technologies and methodologies

- Identifying and implementing cost-effective solutions to enhance productivity whilst maintaining quality and environmental stewardship

- Reporting on agronomic performance and quality metrics to senior management and stakeholders

What we're looking for

- A recognised qualification in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a closely related discipline

- Minimum of 3–5 years' professional experience working as an Agronomist or in a similar agricultural advisory role

- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and compliance management within an agricultural or food production setting

- Strong knowledge of crop production techniques, soil management, integrated pest management, and sustainable farming practices

- Proficiency in the use of agronomic software, data analysis tools, and record-keeping systems

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into practical guidance for farming teams

- Sound understanding of relevant agricultural regulations, food safety standards,



and industry compliance requirements

- Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agricultural environment

- Willingness to undertake field work and travel to various farm locations as required

- Current driver's licence and reliability in meeting commitments
