The Role:
We are seeking a creative Content Creator and Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for executing our social media and content strategy through content creation, planning and scheduling across our channels, and reporting on results.
The role also sources new content by building relationships with designers and builders and liaising with external stakeholders, videographers and photographers to deliver content.
The successful candidate will be passionate about telling the Seima story in line with our content pillars, with a focus on engaging our audiences and delivering against growth metrics.
This role offers flexible location, with options to work from Seima Studio (Adelaide city), Head Office (Edinburgh) or from home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Source, Create and Manage Content
- Work alongside the Marketing Manager to assist managing external suppliers, including videographers and photographers to create content for Seima's marketing and social media channels.
- Build relationships with designers, architects, builders and internal Business Development Managers (BDMs) to source content from existing customers and completed projects.
- Conduct desktop research via social channels to source project imagery available for purchase under licence and identify projects suitable for a commissioned photographer or videographer.
- Liaising with the Marketing Manager and the Graphic Designer, and aligning with the Content Strategy, manage content creation using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and CapCut, including posts, stories and reels, adhering to branding guidelines and social media templates.
- Utilising existing copy and AI tools, create captions and post copy for social media channels.
2. Digital Asset Management (DAM)
- Upload, tag and manage a library of marketing photography and videography, creating a searchable and accessible library of assets for the marketing team via the DAM.
- Organise the DAM system and manage all administration of assets, including licensing records and usage rights.
3. Content Planning and Scheduling
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager, plan and schedule monthly content across all social media channels,
utilising scheduling tools such as Later and Asana.
- Follow approval processes and post content in line with the content plan.
- Manage paid advertising / boosting of content where relevant to meet assigned budgets.
4. Community Engagement
- Perform community engagement across all social media channels, including daily checks, following new accounts, commenting and reposting.
- Respond to all direct messages and comments within 24 hours.
- Manage customer reviews, responding within 24 hours.
5. Reporting and Performance Optimisation
- Manage reporting and monitor social media KPIs and growth metrics.
- Analyse performance and optimise content and posting strategy to improve results across all channels.
- Research and report on competitors and adjacent product categories, providing recommendations for recent content, initiatives and ideas.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in social media algorithms and AI and provide recommendations to continually optimise performance across all channels.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a content creation and social media role.
- Creative and visual eye for aesthetic design, background in graphic design preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Proficiency with design programs, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Self-starter, problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, resilience, and ability to work autonomously.
- A team-oriented approach, willingness to learn, and drive to support continuous improvement.
