Working as the Senior Building Surveyor, you will provide a professional technical service to customers regarding Building Codes, Local Laws, Standards and other relevant statutory provisions to ensure effective performance of the Directorate

Conditions of employment are prescribed by the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 with a salary payable for this position of Level 8 to level 9, $99,635 to $113,680 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience:

- A permanent Full time position, located at the Shire of Harvey Australind Building.

- Superannuation of 12% occupational superannuation from date of commencement, with an opportunity that the Shire will match an employee’s voluntary contribution to their nominated plan provided that employee contributes an amount of at least 5% or 6% of their own salary.

- Four weeks paid annual leave, including a 17.5% leave loading.

- Conditional private use of a Shire vehicle in accordance with Shire Policy.

- A mobile phone for business use in accordance with Shire Policy.





- One rostered day off is available after every 19 worked days. * Rostered days off cannot be accumulated.

- Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.

- A medical examination and a current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
