4Data are looking for a friendly and reliable Service Desk / IT Support Officer to join our team on a casual basis. This role would suit someone who enjoys helping people with technology, communicates confidently over the phone, and is comfortable troubleshooting IT issues remotely. We appreciate that as a WFH position, that you may have other responsibilities, University, Family etc; so we are offering a flexible 4-6 hours’ roster, 3 – 5 days a week. 4Data are also a friendly work environment, so we organise weekly team meetings, and regular social gatherings. 4Data also have a range of team friendly technologies such as Teams, chats, email, and ticketing system.

About the role





You will provide WFH remote IT support to clients and assist with a range of day-to-day technical issues, including:

- Providing first-level IT support by phone, email and remote access

- Troubleshooting Windows and Microsoft 365 issues

- Assisting users with email and account-related issues

- Basic troubleshooting of domains, DNS and connectivity issues

- Setting up and troubleshooting user accounts and devices

- Logging, updating and following up support tickets

- Escalating more complex technical issues when required

- Providing friendly and professional customer service

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- Has a degree, diploma or relevant qualification in IT, Information Technology, Computer Science, IT Engineering or a related field

- Has good communication and customer service skills

- Is confident and professional when speaking with customers over the phone

- Has good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Is comfortable working remotely and independently

- Has a willingness to learn new technologies and IT systems

- Is based in Canberra or Queanbeyan region.

- Previous Service Desk or IT support experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
