About the role

We are seeking a practical, curious and customer-focused apprentice to join our Service team. You will work alongside experienced technicians, build hands-on skills in the workshop and in the field, and develop into a qualified service technician through structured workplace training and formal study. The apprenticeship involves completing Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (UEE30920) through a registered training provider while working full-time with Wedderburn.

Key responsibilities

- Complete workshop repairs, testing and equipment preparation

- Assist with fault finding, diagnosis and repairs at customer sites

- Support installation and commissioning of recent equipment

- Carry out preventative maintenance under supervision

- Build capability in trade measurement verification and compliance work

- Use digital service systems to document work accurately

- Deliver skilled, reliable customer service

About you

- A genuine interest in electronics, mechanical systems and problem solving





- A practical mindset and willingness to learn from experienced technicians

- Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach

- Good attention to detail, organisation and safety awareness

- Reliability, initiative and the ability to work effectively in a team

- A current Australian driver licence, or the ability to obtain one

- Right to work in Australia

- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment

- Ability to obtain a White Card where required

- Willingness to travel and work reasonable overtime as the role develops
