About Aurora

Aurora began in 1997, when our founder Lyndall Mitchell opened Australia's first urban day spa in St Kilda. Today, our spa and bathhouse sits within the InterContinental Sorrento, part of the Continental precinct on the Mornington Peninsula.

Our bathhouse draws on European bathing traditions, with a thermal and hydrotherapy circuit designed to help guests slow down and restore. Everything we do comes back to one idea: a place where people can step away from the noise and come back to themselves.

The role

We're looking for summer casuals to work across our Bathhouse and Reception, from [start date] through to the end of January. You'll welcome guests at the desk, guide them through the bathhouse, and help keep every part of their visit calm and unhurried.

For the right person, there may be an prospect to stay on beyond summer, depending on how you settle into the role and the team.

At Reception, you'll:

- Welcome guests, check them in and farewell them at the end of their visit

- Manage bookings by phone, email and in person, keeping schedules accurate

- Process payments and keep clear records

- Recommend treatments, packages and retail products that suit each guest

In the Bathhouse, you'll:

- Introduce guests to the hydrotherapy circuit and how to enjoy it





- Share the benefits of thermal bathing and suggest ways to rest afterwards

- Keep an eye on guest wellbeing and safety throughout their visit

- Maintain a high standard of presentation, cleanliness and hygiene

- Complete water quality testing, compliance records and incident reports as needed

About you

- A warm, composed communicator who puts guests at ease

- Organised and steady when the day gets busy

- Comfortable suggesting treatments and products, and working towards shared targets

- Happy working in warm, humid, low-light spaces and on your feet

- Available across evenings, weekends and public holidays from [start date] to the end of January

You'll need:

- A current First Aid and CPR certificate

- A current Working With Children Check

Helpful, but not essential:

- Experience in spa, wellness or hospitality

- Knowledge of hydrotherapy or holistic wellness

- Experience with spa booking systems
