Your Role as Finance Business Analyst

As a Finance Business Analyst, you’ll deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting across the organisation by providing analytical, budgeting and forecasting support. Working closely with the Lead Financial Accountant, this role contributes to month-end and year-end processes, cashflow reporting, financial modelling, and the integrity of financial data to support informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting monthly, year-end and management reporting, including reconciliations, journals and financial analysis.

- Preparing and maintaining cashflow reporting, monitoring cash movements and forecasting performance.

- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support informed decision-making.

- Developing and maintaining financial models for scenario planning, cost analysis and long-term forecasting.

- Producing financial insights, dashboards and reporting tools to improve data visibility and performance monitoring.

- Preparing audit-ready documentation and supporting internal and external audit processes.

- Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data across finance systems and reporting platforms.

- Build effective stakeholder relationships and contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with experience in financial analysis, accounting support or management reporting.

- Robust analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.

- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools and data analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI).

- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!

- CPA of CA accreditation, or equivalent Australian recognition.

- Experience with TechnologyOne or similar accounting systems.

- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.

- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
