St Andrew's Primary School, Marayong is seeking a passionate and committed Assistant Religious Education Coordinator (Coordinator 1) / Classroom Teacher to join our supportive school community in an ongoing full-time position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

This position combines classroom teaching responsibilities with a one-point leadership role supporting the Religious Education Coordinator in the coordination and development of Religious Education teachers and the ongoing implementation of Encountering Jesus, CSPD's Religious Education Curriculum.

The Assistant Religious Education Coordinator plays an important role in supporting teachers to provide students with a high-quality and transformative experience of Religious Education. Working collaboratively with the Religious Education Coordinator and Faith in Action Team Coordinator as part of the school's Mission Team, the successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the Catholic identity and mission of St Andrew's.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will:

- Demonstrate a solid commitment to the Catholic identity and mission of the school.

- Deliver engaging, contemporary and inclusive classroom learning experiences.

- Support the Religious Education Coordinator in implementing Encountering Jesus, CSPD's Religious Education Curriculum.

- Assist with the professional learning, faith formation and resourcing of Religious Education teachers.





- Support the development and review of Religious Education programs, assessment and reporting, including the CSPD Learning Framework Uplift.

- Build staff capability and share effective Religious Education practice through collaboration and professional learning.

- Contribute to the school's Mission Team, middle-leadership network and broader learning priorities.

- Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills and a commitment to ongoing faith formation and leadership development.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, the parish and wider Catholic community.

Qualifications and Accreditation

Applicants must:

- Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in Primary Education.

- Hold current NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.

- Hold Category D Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.

- Hold a valid Working with Children Check.





- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Catholic faith, identity and mission of the school.

- Demonstrate the capacity or willingness to develop the skills required to lead, support and empower others.

- Provide Statements of Service where required.
- Demonstrate or be willing to develop a sound understanding of Encountering Jesus, CSPD's Religious Education Curriculum.
