LOOP Project Controls is a growing project controls consultancy supporting clients across civil construction, mining and infrastructure.

As our digital capability continues to grow, we are looking for a technically minded Data & Business Systems Support Analyst to join our team.

This role is suited to someone with a solid foundation in Power BI who enjoys solving problems, learning new technology and finding better ways for businesses to capture, automate and use their data.

You do not need to be a senior developer or experienced data analyst. We are looking for someone with the right foundation, attitude and genuine interest in Power BI, automation, AI and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

THE ROLE

Working alongside our Data Analyst and wider project controls team, you will help develop dashboards, applications and automated reporting solutions for LOOP and our clients.

A major focus will be helping civil contractors improve how they capture and understand project costs, labour, plant, production and overall project performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Assist with automation of project schedules, costs and timesheet information
• Support the development of internal and client facing applications
• Work with Power Apps, Dataverse and Microsoft Power Platform tools
• Structure and clean project and business data for reporting
• Support project cost and performance reporting




• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve data flow
• Assist with testing, documentation and rollout of new systems
• Explore practical applications of AI and emerging technology
• Work closely with the project controls and data teams to develop practical client solutions

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Working knowledge of Power BI
• Strong Excel and general data handling skills
• Interest in Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate or similar platforms
• Robust problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non technical people
• Genuine interest in automation, AI and emerging technologies
• Proactive approach to investigating and solving problems
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Experience within construction, project controls, cost reporting or business systems would be beneficial but is not essential.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

This role has been created for someone who can grow alongside LOOP.

Initially, you will support Power BI development and take ownership of lower complexity dashboard, reporting and automation work.

Over time, there will be opportunities to work directly with clients, understand their reporting and cost control challenges and help develop practical digital solutions.

Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience.
