Your current role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the integrity, accuracy and compliance of financial reporting across the business. This is a hands-on position offering broad exposure across financial accounting, statutory compliance, audit management and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing complex journals, reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Managing balance sheet integrity and ensuring robust financial controls
- Supporting BAS, FBT and statutory compliance obligations
- Producing accurate monthly management reports, variance analysis and financial insights
- Assisting with year-end reporting, external audits and statutory financial statements
- Partnering with operational and leadership stakeholders to provide financial guidance
- Driving process improvements, documentation standards and automation initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements within a not-for-profit environment
What you'll need to succeed
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a senior financial accounting role.
- Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting expertise.
- Experience managing audits and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
