The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director ANZ, you will be a key member of the ANZ leadership team. You will set the long term HSE strategy and drive a consistent approach to safety across manufacturing sites, co manufacturing partners and the national sales organisation. Your core responsibilities will include:

- Shape and deploy the ANZ HSE strategy, in line with regional and global direction
- Provide functional leadership to site HSE Managers, building capability and a strong HSE community across the network
- Own HSE governance across all sites, making sure management systems and standards are embedded and legally compliant
- Lead the audit program, including technical safety audits, fresh eyes site visits and external audits
- Oversee the closure of corrective actions from incidents, audits and global safety alerts, and share learnings across sites
- Build a strong safety culture, influencing senior leaders to keep HSE a priority




- Oversee claims and return to work management in a self insured environment, working with People and Health & Wellbeing teams
- Extend HSE programs to co manufacturing partners and the sales team
- Contribute to site master planning and capital decisions across ANZ

Your Background

You will be an experienced HSE leader who thinks strategically, is credible on the factory floor, and can influence people at every level of the business, you will also have the following experience:

- 7+ years in HSE, ideally in multi-site manufacturing or FMCG
- Tertiary qualification in HSE or a related field
- Proven experience developing and maintaining HSE management systems
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, ideally across multiple states
- A natural leader who coaches and develops others, including through indirect reporting lines
- Excellent stakeholder skills, with a track record of building long term, influential relationships
- Strong technical writing skills across management systems, reports and procedures
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
