Bakers Delight Wagga Wagga Marketplace is seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to join our dynamic retail team. This is a casual position based at our Wagga Wagga NSW 2650 location, offering flexible working hours that fit around your lifestyle. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our bakery, delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth operation of our store. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment and driving customer satisfaction, which directly contributes to the success of our business.

Key responsibilities

- Providing friendly, efficient and professional service to customers at the point of sale
- Processing transactions accurately using the till system and handling cash, card and other payment methods
- Assisting customers with product selection and answering questions about our bakery offerings
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-stocked retail environment
- Restocking shelves and displays with bakery products throughout the day
- Supporting the team with general store duties as required
- Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Contributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting colleagues

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting
- Reliability and flexibility with your availability,



including willingness to work weekends and public holidays
- Availability to work the Christmas & Easter period
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic numeracy skills and comfort with handling cash and using a till system
- Food safety knowledge or willingness to undertake food safety training
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
