We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and safety-focused Labourer / Trades Assistant to join our team in a full-time capacity based in Ipswich.

This role will primarily support works being undertaken on Defence and industrial sites across South East Queensland. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing a job properly, and is eager to learn and develop within a growing Australian company.

Previous experience is advantageous, however we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

In this role, you will work alongside our experienced technicians and assist with the safe delivery of maintenance, inspection, repair and installation works on a range of materials handling equipment. ACE will provide on-the-job training and the prospect to gain valuable skills and industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Support technicians with maintenance, inspection, repair and installation activities

- Ensure site safety requirements are followed at all times

- Undertake 'spotting' duties for technicians working at heights and assist with safe work practices

- Transport parts, tools,



materials and equipment to and from work sites

- Safely use hand tools, mechanical power tools and other equipment

- Assist with loading, unloading and organising equipment and materials

- Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas

- Perform general labouring duties as required

- Support the efficient delivery of works across Defence and industrial sites

- Represent ACE Materials Handling professionally while working on customer sites

Essential Requirements

- Australian Citizenship (required for access to Defence sites), this is a requirement to be successful for this role

- Current Driver's Licence

- Construction Industry White Card (or ability to obtain)

- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Reliable and punctual work ethic

- Ability to undertake physically demanding work

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience in a labouring, trades assistant or site-based role

- Experience working on Defence, industrial, construction or maintenance sites

- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence

- Working at Heights Certification

- First Aid and CPR Certification
