Insight Pest Solutions is expanding across Australia, and we're now bringing that growth to Sydney. We're looking for a Trainee Pest Technician to join us as a founding member of our brand new Sydney branch, launching in September.

You don't need any pest control experience. What you do need is a good attitude, a willingness to learn, and a real interest in building a career in pest control. We'll teach you everything else and help you get qualified.

We'll train you properly. You'll learn on the job alongside our experienced technicians, and we'll support you through your training and licensing. Once you're a qualified general pest technician, Insight will also pay for you to become termite qualified. That opens the door to termite inspection work, upsell commission, and a bigger role in the branch as it grows.

You won't be driving all over Sydney chasing scattered jobs. We're a door-to-door sales company, and we target specific areas of Sydney at a time, which means your jobs each day are close together. No more wasting hours in the car each morning and afternoon.

We also believe in genuine work-life balance. Unlike most companies in this industry, weekend work won't be expected of you as standard. About the Role

You’ll start by working alongside our qualified technicians, learning how to deliver high-quality pest control services to residential customers. As your skills and qualifications grow, you’ll take on more responsibility and work more independently. Your day will include:

Learning to inspect homes for pest activity, entry points and conditions that attract pests

Learning to apply safe, effective pest treatments using approved products and methods

Supporting our technicians and the wider branch, especially during the Sydney launch

Providing friendly, professional service and clear communication to customers

Using mobile and reporting tools to record findings and treatments

Following WHS, chemical handling and environmental guidelines at all times

Working in roof voids, subfloors, around the outside of homes and in outdoor areas

Looking after equipment, PPE and vehicle stock

Safely lifting and carrying equipment (15kg+)

Representing Insight professionally in the field

You don't need any pest control skills. What we're looking for is:

A valuable attitude and a willingness to learn

Good communication skills and confidence talking with customers

Good personal presentation

An eagerness to build a long-term career in pest control

Reliability, motivation and a strong work ethic

Willingness to work in roof voids, subfloors and outdoor environments
