Weekly Hours: 35Weekly Salary: Based on year of study – starting from $886.32 (T4) plus superannuationOrange City Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cadet Environmental Scientist to join our Water and Sewer team.As a Cadet Environmental Scientist your role will be to assist in the delivery of services whilst developing the skills and experience to become a competent and qualified Environmental Scientist specialising in Water and Sewer whilst completing university studies part time.Students with at least 12 months of university experience are well suited to this opportunity; however, motivated first‑years are also encouraged to apply. In this six-year part-time cadetship you will:

- Meet the admission requirements and study a Bachelor of Environmental Science (or similar) with a focus on Water Management (by distance part-time)
- Have paid study leave
- Have university fees paid for all subjects you pass
- Have structured on-the-job training and mentoring
- Be committed to completing your degree part-time while working full-time
- Be enthusiastic and able to take direction
