The Australian Reptile Park is looking for a part time Junior Video Editor & Content Assistant!

Do you love storytelling through video editing, always experimenting with the latest social media reels and trends, and secretly (or not-so-secretly) in love with animals? The Australian Reptile Park is looking for a Junior Video Editor & Content Assistant to join our Marketing team - a hands-on, part-time role perfect for someone at the start of their content creation journey.

This is a rare opportunity to build real, professional video editing experience while working alongside our zookeepers and some of Australia's most incredible wildlife. If you're currently studying (or just starting out) in film, media, content production or a related field, this is the kind of job that will actually mean something on your resume.

This is a part time, 9-month contract, with the opportunity to extend for the right candidate. You must work on-site at our Somersby offices, no hybrid work options.

What can you bring to the team?Key responsibilities include:

Video Editing:

- Editing footage using Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro for our YouTube channels (Venom Diaries and Conservation Diaries), media packages and social media.
- Tailoring edits for different platforms - from long-form YouTube to quick, punchy social content.
- Helping keep our library of raw and edited footage organised.

Content Collection:

- Getting out into the park to film content alongside our keepers and animals.
- Capturing quick, engaging content on an iPhone for our socials.

Who We're Looking For:

This is a 9 month part-time contract with the opportunity to extend for the right candidate.

- Experience: Min 1-year relevant experience, or currently studying towards, or holding, a qualification in production/content/media.
- Technical Skills: Experience with professional video editing programs, preferably Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro, to produce final fully edited videos.
- Work Ethic: A can-do attitude, willingness to learn and openness to feedback. Strong organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and a rapid-paced work environment.
- Availability: Available to work 3 days per week in our Somersby offices. This is not a freelance position. Must be available to work through school holiday periods and public holidays.
