We are a fully private, close-knit general dental practice in Kingaroy, and we are looking for someone with a genuine passion for people to join our team as a Dental Assistant.

You do not need dental experience. What you do need is a track record of making people feel genuinely valued — whether that has been in retail, hospitality, healthcare, or any other customer-facing role. We will teach you the clinical skills. What we cannot teach is warmth, reliability, and genuine care.

About the Role

As our Dental Assistant, you will be chairside with our dentists — a trusted presence in the treatment room for every patient, every appointment. Your calm, attentive manner will directly shape how safe and supported our patients feel during their visit.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Supporting our dentists during procedures with confidence and attentiveness
- Preparing and resetting treatment rooms to a consistently high standard
- Following strict infection control and sterilisation protocols (full training provided)
- Mixing materials, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the clinician
- Helping patients feel calm, informed, and reassured throughout their treatment
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and procedure documentation
- Contributing to a clean, organised, and professional clinical workplace

Full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and committed to doing the job properly.

What We’re Looking For

A background in customer service or customer experience is our first preference.



If you know how to make someone feel genuinely at ease — and you want to bring that into a clinical setting — we want to hear from you.

You will thrive here if you:

- Have prior experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, healthcare, admin, or similar) — this is our first preference
- Genuinely enjoy helping people and making them feel comfortable
- Pay close attention to detail and take pride in doing things properly
- Stay calm and focused under pressure
- Take ownership of your environment and notice what needs doing
- Work well as part of a small, close-knit team
- Believe that kindness and high clinical standards can coexist

Dental experience (preferred but not required):

- Prior dental assisting experience
- Knowledge of infection control or sterilisation protocols
- Familiarity with practice management software

Attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to care for people matter most. Skills can be taught. Commitment and warmth cannot.

This Role May Not Be Right for You If…

- You prefer a purely routine or task-fixed role with limited patient interaction
- You find it difficult to stay composed in a clinical or fast-paced environment
- You are not comfortable working closely alongside others under pressure
- You need close supervision to stay engaged and take initiative
