Life Skill Disability Support is urgently seeking passionate, reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across the Moreton Bay region.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support that reflects each participant’s individual needs, preferences, strengths and goals.

Depending on the participant and shift, your responsibilities may include:

- Supporting participants with daily living activities
- Assisting participants to access the community and attend appointments
- Encouraging independence, choice and skill development
- Supporting social participation and meaningful activities
- Providing personal care and household assistance where required
- Following participant support plans, risk-management strategies and individual routines
- Completing accurate progress notes and other required documentation
- Communicating effectively with participants, families and the broader support team
- Responding calmly and professionally to changing or unexpected situations
- Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and safeguarding participant rights

- Can complete transparent, accurate and timely documentation
- Hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable, appropriately insured vehicle

Previous disability support experience and relevant qualifications are highly regarded; however, they are not essential for the right applicant. Training, guidance and participant-specific orientation can be provided to suitable candidates.

Mandatory Requirements

Successful applicants must hold, or be willing and able to promptly obtain:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check/Blue Card, where required
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
- Relevant evidence of identity and working rights
- Any additional screening, training or competency requirements relevant to the participants they will support

Employment and commencement will be subject to satisfactory screening, reference checks and completion of LSAS onboarding requirements.

Availability across a range of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidays, is highly regarded. Please clearly outline your availability in your application.
