Caloundra Power Boat Club is seeking an experienced Barista & Café Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operation of our Portside Café.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced hospitality environment, works well under pressure and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of coffee, food presentation and customer service.

With day shifts only, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking for a full‑time role without late‑night work.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Portside Café.

Prepare and serve consistently high-quality coffee and beverages.

Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service.

Monitor stock levels, stock rotation and assist with ordering.

Manage POS operations, cash handling, EFTPOS transactions and daily reconciliation.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety and hygiene.

Prepare and present café food and cakes for sale.

Ensure the café operates efficiently during high-volume periods.

Promote a positive, professional and team-focused workplace.





Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety and Club policies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Minimum 5 years' experience in hospitality, café or barista roles.

Strong barista skills and a genuine passion for quality coffee.

The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Confidence handling cash, POS systems and reconciliations.

Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.

A positive, reliable and hands‑on approach.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Relevant hospitality and food‑handling qualifications are highly regarded.
