Tequa is looking for an experienced Civil Worker to join our Civil Construction team based out of Sale on a full-time permanent basis.

This role would suit a capable civil all-rounder who is confident driving trucks, operating excavators and working hands-on across civil construction projects. Ideally, you will either already have crew leader experience or be ready to take the next step in your career and move into a crew leader role within 2–3 months. We are looking for someone smart, reliable and quick to learn who wants stable local work and the opportunity to grow quickly with the team.

About the role

You will support our civil crews across a range of local infrastructure works, including trenching, pipe and pit installation, site setup, reinstatement and general civil construction tasks.

- Operating excavators and civil plant safely and efficiently
- Driving trucks and transporting materials, plant and equipment
- Supporting pipe, pit and conduit installation
- Assisting with trenching, backfilling, reinstatement and general labouring
- Working closely with the crew to deliver quality civil works across Gippsland

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to be practical, safety-focused and willing to get in and help wherever needed. You will also need the confidence,



maturity and communication skills to step up, support the crew and take on more responsibility as you develop into a crew leader.

- Previous experience in civil construction
- HR truck licence (HC advantageous)
- Excavator operating experienceWhite Card
- Reliable, safe and team-focused approach
- Positive problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
- Interest in building a long-term career in civil construction

Highly regarded

- Directional drilling experience
- Experience working around underground services or utilities
- VESI (Victorian Electrical Supply Industry) training
- Previous experience leading or mentoring others on site
