Learning Support Assistant – Part Time Temporary

St Brendan’s Lake Munmorah is inviting applications for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a part time temporary capacity working 42 hours a fortnight to commence on 12 October 2026 until the end of the school year.

St Brendan's Catholic School, Lake Munmorah opened in 1989. The school is situated on NSW’s Central Coast. It is a two-stream school with a current enrolment of 465 students.

Specific Criteria

- Have a commitment to the practice of the Catholic faith
- Committed to excellence in teaching practice to meet the diverse learning needs of individual students
- A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety
- The capacity to plan and teach co-operatively with classroom teachers to ensure students can access classroom teaching and achieve learning outcomes
- Capacity to respond to specialist reports and collaborate with teachers in meeting identified needs of students
- Some experience with NCCD, other data collection processes and personalised planning to ensure students learning needs are met.
- Capacity to collaborate in the development and implementation of an ISP for a student with diverse learning needs
- Confidently applies technology to support diverse learning needs of students
- Sound knowledge of K-6 syllabus including programming, assessment and reporting
- Commitment to professional learning and the willingness to share talents as an active member of staff




- A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety

Qualifications

- Practising Catholic and/or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context
- Valid Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
