ABOUT THE ROLE

Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Knox Grammar School's Preparatory Campus for a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our dedicated team in a permanent part time (0.4 FTE) position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

This role offers the opportunity to inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of learning through engaging and hands-on science experiences. Working closely with colleagues, you will help nurture each student's natural sense of wonder while fostering the skills and confidence needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

The successful candidate will teach a 0.4 load across three days, from Wednesday to Friday each week. Hours will include commencing at approximately 10:30am or later, and concluding at 3:00pm each Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The successful candidate will:

- Hold relevant teaching qualifications and current NESA accreditation.
- Employ a range of engaging and effective teaching strategies that recognise and respond to diverse learning needs and styles.
- Create a stimulating, supportive and challenging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, question and discover.
- Utilise effective classroom management practices that foster positive learning outcomes.
- A deep understanding of the K-6 NESA Science and Technology syllabus and its application within an integrated curriculum.




- Confidence in working with recent NESA syllabuses and designing high-quality, engaging units of work.
- The ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to plan, implement, assess and report on learning programs.
- First Aid and CPR certification is desirable
