Are you an accounting graduate or early-career accountant looking to build a successful career in commercial finance?

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in a part-time capacity and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Reporting to the Company Accountant and working closely with the Assistant Accountant and senior leaders of the Finance team, this role offers excellent exposure to financial accounting, reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation, and process improvement initiatives.

About the Role

The Junior Accountant provides general financial, accounting, and administrative support to the finance team while helping ensure accurate and timely finance operations. The role is responsible for supporting the finance operations including accounts payable, month-end reporting, maintaining financial records, assisting with compliance activities,



and providing backup support to the Accounts Receivable function.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and verify Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, ensuring accurate entry into Oracle
- Manage invoice approvals and the AP workflow within Oracle
- Administer corporate credit cards and employee expense claims via Concur
- Prepare domestic and overseas pay runs (including multiple currencies)
- Manage intercompany netting processes
- Monitor and manage the shared AP inbox
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies or queries
- Manage purchase orders and perform 3-way matching (PO, invoice, proof of receipt)
- Respond to AP enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Provide Accounts Receivable backup support during leave periods
- Financial Reporting: Assist with preparation of financial reports and management reports.
- Month-End Support: Support the senior finance team during the month-end closing process.
- Auditing and Compliance: Gather and organise documents for internal and external audits as well as tax under supervision.
- Perform general administrative and ad hoc finance tasks as required

About You

Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

Strong foundational knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, data entry) and an eagerness to learn an ERP system.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Positive, proactive, willing to learn, and able to manage deadlines effectively.

Must be immediately available withlong-term working rights in Australia.

Desirable: Previous part-time experience in an accounts, administration or customer service role highly regarded.

Desirable: Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and accounting software such as MYOB or Xero highly regarded.
