We are seeking a motivated and empathetic person to facilitate Drink / Drug Driver Behaviour Change Programs in Bendigo, VIC. This is a casual role, offering the prospect to make a meaningful impact in our local community. As a Facilitator, you will lead interactive group sessions based on a motivational interviewing communication method. Allowing participants a chance to understand the personal and social consequences of drink and drug driving and develop strategies to reduce the risk of re-offending.

What you'll be doing

- Facilitate an engaging and interactive group sessions for participants in the Drink / Drug Driver Behaviour Change Program
- Create a supportive and non-judgmental environment that encourages open discussion and self-reflection
- Help participants develop practical strategies to change their behaviour and make safer choices
- Provide one-on-one support and guidance to participants as needed
- Engage in ongoing supervision sessions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with program requirements
- Collaborate with the broader program team to continuously improve the delivery and outcomes of the program

What we're looking for

- Relevant bachelor level qualification in either psychology, social work, a health related field or human services.
- Completed the Alcohol and other drug (AOD) core competencies/units
- Two or more years experience, working with mandated clients and/or in the AOD field of work




- Ideally some experience or training in facilitating group programs or workshops
- Completed or willing to complete Forensic Fundamentals training
- Completed or willing to complete Motivational Interviewing Fundamentals training
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with a diverse range of participants
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach when working with vulnerable individuals
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
- A current driver's licence without any drink or drug driving offences in the previous 10 years
- A current police check and working with children's check is also required.
