Casual Production Assistant - Skincare Manufacturing

My Skincare Manufacturer is seeking reliable Casual Production Assistants to join our production team in Beresfield, with the opportunity for ongoing casual work for strong performers depending on business requirements.

We are an Australian skincare and personal care contract manufacturer operating from a modern, ISO 22716:2007 GMP-certified facility.

This is a genuinely hands-on role involving both manual and semi-automated production. It will suit someone who enjoys practical work, likes being busy, takes pride in doing things properly and can work efficiently without compromising safety or quality.

Hours

- You must be available to be rostered Monday to Thursday, 8:30am–5:00pm

- 30-minute unpaid lunch break, 12:00pm–12:30pm

- Current roster includes an additional paid 10-minute afternoon tea break, 3:00pm–3:10pm

- This is casual employment and shifts remain subject to production requirements

- Suitable team members may be offered ongoing casual work depending on business requirements

What you will be doing

- Filling, sealing, capping and manually closing skincare jars and bottles

- Labelling, counting, checking and packing finished products

- Preparing bottles, jars, lids, labels and other packaging components





- Checking that the correct product, packaging and labels are being used

- Accurately counting packaging and finished units

- Completing production and traceability records as required

- Cleaning and sanitising equipment, workstations and production areas

- Moving materials, packaging and finished products

- Standing for extended periods and completing repetitive hands-on tasks

- Safely lifting and handling items weighing up to 20 kg

- Following production instructions, GMP procedures and WHS requirements

- Working under the direction of the Production Manager and assigned project leads

- Identifying errors, discrepancies, quality concerns or safety risks and speaking up rather than guessing

What we are looking for

You will be well suited to this role if you:

- Are reliable, punctual and ready to begin work at 8:30am

- Have reliable transport to our Beresfield facility

- Are comfortable standing and working on your feet for most of the day

- Can safely complete repetitive manual tasks and lift up to 20 kg

- Have good practical hand skills and attention to detail

- Can accurately count products and packaging

- Follow written and verbal instructions carefully

- Work at a good pace without compromising safety, quality or hygiene

- Can think on your feet and recognise when something does not look right

- Ask questions when unsure rather than making assumptions

- Are calm, respectful, friendly and comfortable working closely with others

- Take direction well and are willing to learn

- Are willing and able to consistently follow PPE, hygiene, GMP and WHS procedures

- Take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of your work

Previous experience in cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, warehouse or packing environments is desirable but not essential. We provide GMP and WHS training and are prepared to invest time in the right person. Reliability, practical ability, willingness to learn and team fit are more important to us than having years of industry experience.
