Bernays Lawyers is a long standing well-established law firm in Toowoomba. We are seeking a highly motivated and professional receptionist to join our close-knit team. This is a full-time role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role involves the support of daily operations of our firm and management of administration tasks.

As the first point of contact of our firm, you will work with solicitors and secretaries to ensureseamless front-desk operations.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Welcoming clients and visitors
- Answering and directing incoming calls, emails and enquiries
- Taking detailed accurate messages
- Handling initial enquiries from new clients
- General banking, cheque/receipt preparations and bank reconciliations
- Completion of banking, mail collection/posting and deliveries
- Administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and data entry
- Assisting with file opening/management and billing




- Preparation of correspondence and legal documents
- Safe custody management

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Exceptional client service and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Professional presentation and a dependable work ethic
- Respect for confidentiality and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with Open Practice is an advantage)
- Previous secretarial experience desired but not essential (training will be provided)
