PCR Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Pty Ltd – Cairns QLD

You'll be learning across refrigerated trucks and trailers, Thermo King and Carrier transport refrigeration systems, refrigerated shipping containers, bus and coach air conditioning, caravan air conditioning, and electrical, refrigeration and diesel-driven systems. Some days you'll be in the workshop. Other days you'll be out in the field assisting with diagnosing equipment, serving and breakdowns while woking alongside experienced technicians. It's technical, challenging and genuinely interesting work with the prospect to develop your skills across a wide range of equipment while completing your Refrigeration and Air Conditioning apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with diagnostics, breakdowns, servicing and major repairs on transport refrigeration systems
- Working on refrigerated trucks and trailers
- Working on Thermo King and Carrier transport refrigeration systems
- Working on refrigerated shipping containers
- Working on bus and coach air conditioning
- Working on caravan air conditioning
- Learning to work on refrigeration and diesel-driven systems
- Developing fault-finding and diagnostic skills




- Working alongside qualified technicians in the workshop and out on the field
- Completing the required trade training as part of your apprenticeship.

About you

- Looking to start or continue an apprenticeship in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Previous mechanical, automotive, electrical or refrigeration experience is helpful but not essental.
- interest in refrigeration and electrical fault-finding
- An interest in transport refrigeration and mobile air conditioning highly regarded
- Keen to learn how to fault-find and understand how systems work
- Reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
- Current driver licence preferred or working towards one.
- Looks after customers and equipment
- Wants to keep learning
- Enjoys being part of a small, capable team
