Multifix WA is looking for a capable and reliable person to join our team in a combined warehouse and trade counter sales role .

This is not purely a picking and packing position.

We need someone who is practical, organised and quick to learn, but also confident speaking with customers, answering product enquiries and assisting at our sales counter.

We supply fasteners, fixings and associated products to trades and industry, so there are a lot of products, sizes and specifications to learn. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be comfortable learning technical product information and using that knowledge to help customers.

For the right person, there is the opportunity for the role to transition into a permanent position.

What You’ll Be Doing

The role will be split across warehouse duties and customer service, including:

- Picking and packing customer orders
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Maintaining organised and accurate stock locations
- Assisting customers at the trade counter
- Answering customer enquiries in person and over the phone
- Identifying products and helping customers find the correct item
- Processing sales orders and customer transactions
- Preparing orders for collection and delivery
- Liaising with the sales team regarding orders and stock
- Assisting with stocktakes and inventory control
- Loading and unloading goods
- Keeping the warehouse and counter areas organised and presentable

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is switched-on,



practical and comfortable taking responsibility.

You should:

- Have previous experience in a warehouse, trade counter, hardware, industrial supply or similar environment
- Be confident dealing directly with customers
- Have good communication skills and a professional manner
- Be comfortable using computers and learning our sales and inventory systems
- Have positive basic maths and numeracy skills
- Be able to understand measurements, sizes and product specifications
- Have strong attention to detail when picking and processing orders
- Be able to learn a large product range and retain product knowledge
- Be organized and able to prioritise when several things are happening at once
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Be physically capable of carrying out normal warehouse duties
- Enjoy being part of a small team where everyone helps out
- Experience with fasteners, fixings, hardware, construction supplies, engineering supplies or industrial products would be highly regarded.
- A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

We’re a small team and this role is important to the day-to-day running of the business. We need someone who can eventually become confident across both the warehouse and sales counter rather than someone looking for a purely manual warehouse role.
