Due to continued growth across North Queensland, Peak ARE is looking for a reliable and motivated Junior Storeman / Warehouse Assistant to join our Townsville team in a permanent, full-time position.

This is an chance for someone who may not have warehouse experience yet but is keen to learn, work hard and build their skills in a hands-on role.

Previous warehouse experience is not essential. We’re more interested in finding the right person — someone reliable, switched on, willing to learn and happy to get in and help wherever needed.

You’ll work with our team to help keep our field and project crews moving by ensuring materials, equipment and tools are organised and ready when they need them.

About the Role

Working from our Townsville Head Office, you’ll learn and assist with the day-to-day operation of our warehouse, stores and yard.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Receiving, checking and organising incoming materials and equipment
- Preparing materials and equipment for field and project teams
- Assisting with deliveries and collections to jobsites and suppliers
- Assisting with stock control and keeping materials properly stored
- Helping manage company tools, equipment and other assets
- Keeping the warehouse, stores and yard clean, organised and functional
- Learning to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Working with our Mechanical, Electrical, Service and Administration teams
- Following Peak ARE WHS&E; requirements, policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of experience or a heap of tickets. Attitude and reliability are more important to us.

We’re looking for someone who is:





- Reliable and punctual
- Keen to learn and develop new skills
- Practical and enjoys hands‑on work
- Organised and able to follow instructions
- Happy to work as part of a team but capable of getting on with a job independently
- Comfortable communicating with tradespeople, supervisors, managers and suppliers
- Safety-conscious and respectful of company equipment and property
- Willing to take responsibility for their work and follow things through

Licences & Requirements

- Current Open Driver Licence (or equivalent)
- Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Forklift licence is NOT essential — Peak ARE will provide forklift training and licensing for the right candidate
- Able to perform the physical requirements of a hands‑on warehouse role
- Any previous warehouse experience or additional licences/tickets such as MR licence, forklift, EWP/scissor lift, vehicle loading crane or dogging would be highly regarded, but they are not essential .
