FORMA Joinery is looking for a reliable, hands-on Factory Labourer / Joinery Labourer to join our growing team.

This role is suited to someone who is practical, handy, physically capable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced factory and site environment.

You do not need to be a qualified cabinet maker, but you do need to be switched on, willing to be trained, able to follow instructions, and capable of helping the team get jobs built, delivered and installed properly.

You will work under the direction of the Production Manager and Factory Foreman , assisting with factory work, deliveries, installation support, job preparation, loading, unloading and general production tasks.

A manual driver’s licence is required .

About The Role

As a Factory Labourer / Joinery Labourer, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of the factory and support the production and installation teams.

FORMA uses an external fabricator for CNC cutting, meaning a lot of work involves receiving cut-to-size packs, organising components, helping assemble flatpacks, preparing jobs for installation, loading vehicles and supporting deliveries.

You may also assist installers on site, help unload joinery, carry materials, prepare work areas, clean up, move components and support the team with practical tasks required to get jobs completed.

This is a physical, hands-on role in a growing company. The right person will be trained, but they must be willing to learn quickly and work properly.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Assistance





- Assist with organising and sorting joinery components.
- Help assemble flatpack cabinetry under supervision.
- Assist the Factory Foreman and production team with daily factory tasks.
- Help prepare jobs for installation or delivery.
- Load and unload materials, panels, hardware and completed joinery.
- Keep job areas clean, organised and safe.
- Assist with packing, wrapping and protecting joinery before transport.
- Report missing, damaged or incorrect parts to the Factory Foreman or Production Manager.

Deliveries & Manual Driving

- Assist with deliveries to sites, suppliers, fabricators and customers where required.
- Drive manual vehicles where required.
- Help load and unload trucks, utes and delivery vehicles.
- Ensure items are handled carefully and not damaged during transport.
- Follow instructions around delivery timing, job details and site requirements.
- Represent the company professionally when attending sites or suppliers.

Installation Support

- Assist installers on residential and commercial sites.
- Carry and position cabinets, panels, doors, hardware and materials.
- Help prepare site areas for installation.
- Assist with basic fitting, holding, cleaning, unpacking and support tasks under direction.
- Keep the work area tidy and safe.
- Communicate site issues or missing items to the installer or Production Manager.
- Work respectfully around customers, builders, trades and other site workers.

General Production Support

- Assist with moving materials around the factory.
- Help keep the factory organised.
- Support stock movement and basic housekeeping.
- Follow directions from the Production Manager and Factory Foreman.
- Learn company systems, workflow and standards.
- Take initiative with simple tasks once trained.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Requirements
