The National Timber & Hardware Association is seeking a reliable Forklift Driver to join a busy timber operation in Hemmant on a casual labour hire basis .

Our host employer is an established timber business supplying quality timber products and solutions to the Australian construction and building industries. The business works with a range of structural timber products and has a strong focus on quality, reliable supply and sustainable timber solutions.

This is an chance for an operator who can confidently operate a forklift in a busy yard or warehouse environment, takes pride in working safely and efficiently, and is keen to develop their skills within the timber industry.

You’ll be involved in forklift operations along with timber handling duties, including restrapping and repacking timber products .

What you'll be doing





- Safely operate a forklift to move timber and materials
- Load, unload and organise timber products
- Assist with restrapping and repacking timber
- Handle timber products safely and efficiently
- Maintain an organised and safe work area
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work as part of a busy and supportive team
- Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as required

About you

We're looking for a reliable forklift operator who can work safely and efficiently in a busy environment.

You'll have:

- At least 1 year of forklift operating experience
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Timber industry experience – desirable
- Experience handling materials or products
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Good attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full working rights in Australia
