About the role:

An opportunity has arisen for Support Workers to join a team in providing exceptional 1:1 support. This particular role involves working primarily within SIL setting with the potential for some community supports with an emphasis on active support being essential.

- Can work autonomously as well as contribute to an effective team, with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Are committed to high performance through a positive attitude, flexible nature and the ability to receive feedback and training.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Support the implementation of complex behaviour support plans
- Follow daily schedules including, routines, identifying client needs, cleanliness,



activities and shift guidelines
- Follow set rosters and time frames including some weekends and sleepovers.
- Provide quality active support including Personal Care, Medication Support, Manual Handling & behavior support
- Contribute to effective risk management of incidents and hazards in accordance with company policy and legislation.
- Provide clients with a physically and emotionally secure environment and promote their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual wellbeing.
- Familiarity with the Community Services Sector, in particular NDIS frameworks.
- Cert III in Disability Support or willingness to obtain
- Ability to maintain composure and apply effective engagement & support strategies with participants.
- Capacity for self-motivation with the ability to cope with changing work functions and tasks based on participant needs.

Required:

- Must be available for some sleepovers & weekends in addition to weekdays
- Current Australian Drivers’ License or other photographic identification
- Birth Certificate or Current Passport
- A current Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening or ability to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- NDIS Orientation, Effective Communication and Secure & Enjoyable meals modules.
