Southside Paediatric Dentistry is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and highly organised Dental Assistt to join our established specialist paediatric dental team in Miranda.

We are looking for individuals who are flexible, enthusiastic with a positive attitude, punctual and have the patience and ability to work with children of all ages. Our focus is on providing an exceptional experience for every child and their family in a warm, caring and professional environment.

About the role

This casual/permanent part-time (3-5 days per week) position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, takes pride in high standards of clinical care and wants to develop their skills within specialist paediatric dentistry, including the prospect to assist with dental treatment performed in a hospital environment under general anaesthesia (GA).

Your role will include:

- Chairside assisting our Specialist Paediatric Dentists and Oral Health Therapists
- Preparing surgeries and assisting with a broad range of paediatric dental procedures in a hospital setting
- Supporting and reassuring children and parents throughout their appointments
- Infection prevention, sterilisation and instrument processing




- Maintaining excellent clinical and infection-control standards
- Digital radiography, clinical photography and management of patient records
- Assisting with stock management and maintaining well-organised clinical areas
- Working closely with our reception and clinical teamsContributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice

Qualifications, experience and desirable requirements

Certificate III in Dental Assisting or enrolled in the course.

Experience in dental assisting, sterilisation and organising instruments.

Good typing skills.

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Knowledge of Dental 4 Windows would be a definite advantage.

Working With Children Check.

Drivers license and car.
