TRADE ASSISTANT WANTED – LIGHT VEHICLE WORKSHOP

Looking to get your foot in the door of the automotive industry?

JB’s is a fast-growing Townsville company, and we’re looking for a motivated Trade Assistant to join our Light Vehicle team!

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, is keen to learn and wants exposure to an enormous variety of vehicles, machinery and mechanical work.

What will you be doing?

- Assisting our qualified tradespeople with the day-to-day running of the LV workshop
- Helping with servicing, repairs and general workshop tasks
- Picking up and delivering parts
- Keeping the light-vehicle bays clean, organised and ready for work
- Learning about different tools, vehicles, systems and workshop processes
- Pitching in wherever the team needs a hand

At JB’s, you’ll get exposure to:

integrated fleet-maintenance business operates.

What we’re looking for:

- A current driver’s licence - this is essential
- A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- Someone who takes pride in keeping their work area clean and organised
- A team player who isn’t afraid to get involved
- An interest in vehicles or the mechanical trade

Previous workshop experience is not necessary. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic and enthusiasm.

For the right candidate, this position has the potential to develop into a Light Vehicle Mechanical Apprenticeship , making it a great chance to begin building a long-term trade career with JB’s.
