We are looking for experienced CNC Brake Press Setters / Operators for long-term positions with established engineering and fabrication businesses in Hallam.

The opportunity

- $38–$40 per hour + super
- Full-time hours on a casual ongoing basis
- Day shift
- Immediate start
- Overtime available where required
- Prospect for ongoing employment for the right person

What you’ll be doing

- Set up and operate CNC brake presses
- Program jobs directly from engineering drawings
- Select, install and align punches and dies
- Set back gauges and bending sequences
- Calculate bend allowances and adjust programs
- Complete trial bends and make necessary adjustments
- Check bend angles using verniers, protractors and other measuring equipment
- Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Work safely and independently

What we’re looking for

- Proven CNC brake press setting and operating experience




- Ability to program jobs from engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of tooling, bend sequences and material behaviour
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with measuring equipment including verniers and protractors
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently

Experience with Yawei, Delem DA-65 or Machtech equipment is advantageous but not essential.
