ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiasticCNC Machinist Apprentice to join our team at our Lancaster Road facility in Ingleburn . This is an exciting opportunity to learn a highly skilled trade while working with experienced machinists and advanced CNC equipment in a modern engineering workshop.

This apprenticeship provides a pathway to a nationally recognised trade qualification and the opportunity to build a long-term career in machining and heavy engineering.

This is a workshop based role.

As a CNC Machinist Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople and learn to:

Set up and operate CNC machining equipment

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Manufacture precision components to required tolerances

Select and install tooling and work-holding equipment

Use precision measuring instruments including micrometres, verniers and dial indicators

Learn CNC programming and machining processes

Perform quality inspections of finished components

Maintain machinery and work areas to a high standard

Follow all safety, quality and environmental procedures

Assist qualified machinists with the manufacture of large-scale engineering components

ABOUT YOU





Has a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing

Is eager to learn and develop practical skills

Has strong attention to detail

Possesses good maths and problem-solving abilities

Is reliable, punctual and committed to completing an apprenticeship

Works well within a team environment

Demonstrates a positive attitude and solid work ethic

Preferably completed year 12 with passes in Maths,Science and English

Possess technical problem solving skills

Have a NSW Manual drivers license

Have basic hand tool knowledge

Previous workshop experience, school-based trade programs, metalwork, engineering studies or work experience in manufacturing will be highly regarded but are not essential.
