About The Role

Knox Grammar School is seeking to appoint a Language Teacher – Chinese on a part time (0.5 FTE), fixed term contract for Terms 1 and 2 2027.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate language educator who enjoys inspiring students to engage with Chinese language and culture and would welcome the opportunity to contribute to a flourishing Languages Department.

The role requires an individual who can demonstrate:

- Experience of teaching (or extensive knowledge of) the Stage 6 Chinese and Literature HSC course.
- Experience of teaching students with some prior knowledge of the Chinese language across Years 9-12.
- A variety of effective teaching strategies to engage students of varying abilities on their path to achieving specific learning outcomes.
- Experience in the design, development and administration of a range of assessment tasks.
- Effective student management strategies for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Integration into classroom teaching and learning
- Departmental teaching and learning initiatives
- Departmental administrative requirements
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a collegial department with high expectations of both staff and students.




- A passion for promoting the study of Chinese language and culture and fostering student engagement.
