Pure Coaching supports children, teenagers and adults living with disability across Cairns and surrounding areas.

We believe people grow through meaningful experiences, encouragement and opportunities to develop their skills. Our approach combines practical support with mentoring, community participation and activities that reflect each person’s goals and interests.

From helping a child build confidence through play to supporting an adult with daily routines, employment readiness or community connections, we work alongside participants to build independence at their own pace. Our supports can involve sport, fitness, swimming, outdoor adventures and everyday activities that create opportunities to learn.

We call ourselves coaches because we actively engage, encourage and guide the people we support. We bring energy and initiative while respecting each participant’s choices, abilities and support needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Pure Coaching is seeking experienced disability support workers who can connect with children aged 5 to 15 and support adults to build confidence, independence and practical life skills.

We want people who take pride in their work, follow through on commitments and contribute positively to the team around them.

Previous qualified disability support experience is essential.

At Pure Coaching, we help people develop skills through everyday routines, mentoring and meaningful community experiences. Support might involve helping a child participate in an activity, developing an adult’s independence or building the confidence to try something new.

Our approach combines encouragement, patience and clear professional boundaries. Every activity should reflect the participant’s goals, preferences and support needs.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated professional experience providing disability support.
- Experience supporting children, alongside the ability to work confidently with adults.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including careful listening and clear, timely updates.
- Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to remain calm when a participant is distressed or overwhelmed.
- Reliability,



punctuality and a willingness to receive feedback and work collaboratively.
- You understand that good communication includes notifying management promptly when circumstances affect a shift. You arrive prepared, stay engaged and take responsibility for the quality of your work.

You must also have:

- The right to work in Australia.
- A current Australian driver licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with insurance suitable for transporting participants.
- An NDIS Worker Screening clearance and Queensland Blue Card, or applicable exemption, in place before commencing relevant duties.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates before commencing participant support.
- Confidence using digital systems for rosters, progress notes and workplace communication.
- Relevant qualifications in disability, individual support, community services or youth work are valued. Practical disability support experience remains essential.

Casual pay is determined by the applicable SCHADS Award classification and includes casual loading. Superannuation, penalty rates and applicable allowances are paid in accordance with your entitlements.
