Key responsibilities

- Design and adapt KiP's program content to align with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) frameworks and year-level learning objectives
- Provide consultation and training to QLD teachers to support them to deliver service learning and philanthropic education in their classrooms
- Develop age-appropriate, engaging program materials, facilitator guides, student resources and assessment tasks
- Ensure content is relevant and responsive to the social contexts, interests and prior knowledge of participating students
- Build and maintain a content library of curriculum-linked resources for Queensland delivery
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of KiP's program model, incorporating teacher feedback, student outcomes and sector insights
- Lead or co-facilitate KiP program sessions in Queensland secondary schools
- Build strong, trusted relationships with school staff, coordinators and leadership teams
- Support schools to embed KiP programs within their broader curriculum and wellbeing frameworks
- Identify and nurture relationships with current and existing Queensland school partners

About you

- Experience teaching in Queensland schools at a secondary level
- Demonstrated experience designing, adapting and delivering curriculum-aligned content
- Interest in and understanding of social impact and philanthropy
- Strong relationship-building skills with students, teachers and school communities




- Ability to work independently and manage program logistics in a small-team environment
- Cross-curricular, project-based or service-learning programs experience viewed favourably
- Experience in the charitable and not-for-profit sector in Queensland viewed favourably
- Experience working in low-SES or regional school contexts viewed favourably

The details

- Location: Queensland, hybrid (school-based delivery with a flexible remote base)
- Term: 12-month fixed-term contract, with possibility of extension up to three years
- Hours: 15 hours per week - flexible arrangements considered for the right candidate

Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) delivers structured, experiential philanthropic learning journeys for young people. Our programs build young people's knowledge of social issues, develop their capacity to take action, and create real opportunities to direct resources toward causes that matter to them. Through KiP programs, young people explore local social issues, connect with charities, and take hands‑on action preparing essential goods like meals, care packs, hygiene products, clothing and stationery for people in need in their community. KiP is a small but driven team. We work closely together, are passionate about what we do, and value supporting each other along the way. We operate across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
