A well-established CNC engineering company specialising in precision machining is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Year Apprentice Fitter Machinist to join our team. We welcome applications from school leavers, and/or individuals from groups specialised in engineering and manufacturing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent HSC graduate or junior candidate looking to build a rewarding career in engineering and advanced manufacturing. No previous trade experience is required. Please note that this apprenticeship is intended for entry-level applicants, and university graduates are generally not suited to this role.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will gain hands-on experience manufacturing high-precision components and assemblies for the timber, mining, and aerospace industries while completing a nationally recognised trade qualification.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist qualified tradespeople with machining, fitting, and assembly tasks
- Operate CNC and conventional machinery under supervision
- Participate in CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and advanced manufacturing activities
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs




- Perform general workshop duties as required
- Learn and apply engineering and manufacturing best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

About You

- A genuine interest in engineering, manufacturing, and technology
- Strong mathematical ability (Year 12 Mathematics preferred)
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- The ability to work safely in a workshop environment
- Australian work rights
